Inaugural DRI Insurance Law and Claims Conference Draws Strong Attendance

Tom Lysaught, legal operations partner for Hickey Smith, was co-chair of the Defense Research Institute’s (DRI) Insurance Law and Claims Conference on October 28th in Hartford, Connecticut. The inaugural one-day program covered a number of important topics of interest to insurance claims executives, professionals and in-house counsel, which were presented by a strong roster of industry and outside counsel speakers. The program attracted more than 175 attendees, including over 100 insurer attendees from Hartford and the Northeast. In addition to the presentations, the program provided excellent networking opportunities for the attendees, including facilitated round table discussions on a variety of interesting issues and a networking reception. Hickey Smith was one of the program sponsors.

“The response from the insurance community in Hartford, both in terms of attendance and feedback, exceeded our expectations,” notes Tom Lysaught. “This is a testament to the DRI brand, the program’s excellent topics and speakers, and the many industry executives from Hartford and outside counsel that helped develop and market the program. It was certainly my privilege to work with such a great team.”
