On November 19, 2014, Christian Dodd acted as the co-moderator of a panel discussion presented by the Litigation Section of the Jacksonville Bar Association titled “Emerging Trends in E-Discovery”. The discussion topics included, among others, collection and authentication of data residing on smartphones, collecting and hosting data in the “cloud”, ethical considerations concerning social media, predictive coding and other analytics tools, and proposed changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure with respect to discovery.
Hickey Smith was recently engaged by a medical device distributor as outside e-discovery counsel in an ongoing lawsuit concerning the sales and distribution of medical imaging devices.
NHA Housing Project – Calauan, Laguna. Members of the Hickey Smith team along with other Got Agua? volunteers from the United States and the Philippines recently traveled to the NHA Housing Project located in Calauan, Laguna. Working with representatives from the ABS-CBN Foundation, the team repaired three water wells that had been damaged by Typhoon Glenda on July 22, 2014, and drilled a brand new water well. MORE>>
